Such a feast for the eyes and nose! I think I timed my trip just right–not too late for the lilac and tulips, and in plenty of time to enjoy the peonies (about a week away). The warm weather is encouraging the flowers to open so there is something to enjoy around every corner.
Yes, I’m obsessed with my new camera and its ability to take such detailed close ups.
Another perk of warm weather in Samara is the embankment of the Volga River and its sandy beaches.
And if you can’t get to the beach – the fountain in the square is a great place to cool off (Galina, this one’s for you!)

Wow! It seems like the warm weather came so fast after that extremely cold winter trip you had. 🙂

Spring here can be like our Central Coast weather – really hot, then cold, then rain, then warm, etc. etc.

Ah! Volga and the sand!!! “My” fountain near the building I lived in…is it that I woke up too sentimental today? My tears are so close:) And YES, get even more “obsessed” with your your new camera, Jeanette! Just keep testing all its properties at every occasion!!:):)
