So, by this time tonight, I’ll be buckling my seatbelt, saying a prayer for protection, and taking off for the other side of the world. LAX to Munich to Frankfurt to Samara.
Whoa. Sometimes, I still can’t believe I do this thing.
But before I go and am out of touch for almost 30 hours, I want to say THANK YOU to:
– those who encouraged me
– those who donated money to CrossRoads
– those who collected and made gifts/souvenirs (one suitcase is 50 lbs full of them!)
– those who have joined my blog! WELCOME!
– those who have committed to praying. (If that is YOU – please pray for: safety, strength, good rest, divine appointments and my ability to recognize them, sharp language skills, courage, and mostly that I will abandon all expectations in lieu of what God has planned for me this year.)
Thank you all for “taking hold” with me.

Blessings to you Jeanette…give hugs in my name too! I will be praying for you. Remember how on a roller coaster you put your arms up and don’t hold on to the railing? I think that is when we ( filled with joy and thrill) are holding on to God. Not that I want your trip to be crazy like that….but, who knows all the blessings and thrills that are in store for you as you serve God. 🙂 <<>> raise those arms!

Earlier today I heard a story of a woman going on a weekend journey leaving her husband to fend for himself for a few days. It made me think of you and your trek to Russia. Be comforted Jeanette by knowing God is covering you with prayers.
If it’s worth anything, I am looking forward to hearing about Sasha and Katya, the friends you mentioned last year. Blessings my friend, Timbo

I’ll be seeing them in about a couple of weeks. In their new house!

It really is so cool to be part of sending you off/out. No doubts you are walking in God’s “loving longing.” Bon voyage!

It’s all the more wonderful because of your presence and participation– now AND then, oh brave one!

I cannot agree more with the above…How true! Wishing you a safe landing and a steady sequence of planned events to unpack and find warmth and care from those ones who were holding their breath awaiting your arrival these days!:)
