Will you mind if I take a temporary detour from Russophilia (yes, a new disease) and give you a glimpse into another, newer, facet of my wanderlust?
We leave tomorrow (maybe) on our first long-haul RV trip. First to Oceanside, CA and then all the way to Diamond Lake, Oregon, for a week of fishing there. The “maybe” about leaving is that Ken is currently stuck in Phoenix, having missed his flight connection last night. Today (Friday) was supposed to have been our RV prep and pack day. That won’t be happening until late tonight or early tomorrow morning. In the meantime, our house water heater stopped heating water. Have to deal with that today on top of food shopping, banking, and finding my RV clothes.
So…when we finally DO leave, I plan to “show and tell” the adventures of greenhorn RVers here on my blog. For starters, try to imagine Ken (for those of you who know him) pulling a 28′ 5th wheel behind a Chevy Silverado 2500HD Crew Cab diesel through L.A. traffic. It will be a true test of his recovery from road rage…
Stay tuned!

Enjoy yourselves!!!!
I miss our travel trailer. It was the best way to vacation with the kids when they were little.
