Dear friends,
We congratulate you on the coming Easter! It’s such a joy to know that this year Christians all over the world are celebrating it together and singing the hymn of joy – Christ is arisen!
The world has become so small, borders can not divide us in our faith. We are happy to be a part of the great Christian family. We are thankful to God for all our Christian friends who pray for our ministry and support us and especially for our dear faithful friend Jeanette who is coming to Samara in May. We wish you could all come and celebrate this wonderful day with us.
With love, Samara CrossRoads team: Tanya, Alla, Natasha
P.S. FROM JEANETTE: In Russia (because there are no palm trees) they use pussy willow branches instead for Palm Sunday (the beginning of the Passion Week). The painted eggs aren’t delivered by the Easter Bunny (snicker snicker) but are symbolic of new life in Christ. Friends and family present these hand painted eggs to each other with the greeting “Christ is Risen!” I have one such egg (not a wooden or ceramic one, but a real egg). Come by some time and I will show it to you. Until then, Rejoice! Christ is Risen!

I have about six wooden eggs from Russia that my parents brought back for me after one of their visits there. They are beautiful and my grandchildren love to play with them. Now I know how and why they are used at Easter. Thanks for the insight, Jeanette.
