Some days are meant to be treasured–frozen in time and not forgotten. I had such a day strolling the Volga Embankment with Tanya and Natalia Antoninova. In spite of her frailty (stage 4 cancer), she hopped into a cab with us and we treated her to an afternoon in her favorite place in the city.
Why don’t you join us?

Jeanette, THANK YOU so very much for these pictures, for this special stroll and the hanging out in the places so dear to me…it is like I am walking there myself right now. So much has changed yet so much is the same! It just makes me so emotional all of a sudden, to see Volga, the embankment and even the cafe I have so many reminiscences of my younger times of. And YOU sitting right in that cafe:):) Truly, grand.
I wrote the post with you in mind, Galina! So glad it brought back fond memories. Yes, this section of the Volga was renovated a couple of years ago. So nice! There is even a section that is for families (no alcohol allowed!) WOW!
Life is always sweeter when shared with a friend………….. :0)
I’m dreaming of that walk with you someday!
